Can I get banned on Hypixel or other servers for using YuyuFrame?

YuyuFrame is not a cheat. Its modules show information (FPS, CPS, armor, effects…), adjust the camera or the display (zoom, freelook, fullbright) and make some keys more comfortable. No module aims, clicks or moves for you. These are the same kinds of features as in well-known PvP clients.

Every server sets its own rules, and YuyuFrame has no agreement with any of them. Two modules call for caution: macros, which send a chat message or command on a key press, and freelook — some servers ban one or the other. When in doubt, read the server’s rules and turn those modules off; each one can be disabled on its own.

Since the code is public, any server or player can check exactly what each module does.

Is YuyuFrame a virus? Why does Windows show a warning?

No. The code of the launcher and the in-game agent is public on GitHub, under the GPLv3 license, and every release is built by GitHub Actions straight from that public code: you can check what the program does, or have it checked.

The “Windows protected your PC” warning (SmartScreen) appears because the executable is not yet signed with a publisher certificate, a paid certificate that small projects often don’t have. Windows then warns about any rarely downloaded program. To continue: More info, then Run anyway.

You can also scan the file on VirusTotal before opening it. Updates, on the other hand, are signed: the launcher rejects any file we did not publish.

Does the launcher see my Microsoft password?

No. You sign in on Microsoft’s own page: the launcher shows a code, you enter it on Microsoft’s website, and your password is never typed into YuyuFrame. The resulting session tokens stay on your PC, and are masked before they appear in the console or in a log file.

Do I need a Microsoft account?

To play online on regular servers, yes: you need a Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition, just like with the official launcher. You can add several and switch between them in one click.

Do I need to create a YuyuFrame account?

No. The launcher, instances and all 25 in-game modules work without a YuyuFrame account. It is only used for the (optional) cloud backup, support from the launcher, and the list of your devices.

Which Minecraft versions are supported?

The launcher runs every version of Minecraft: Java Edition released by Mojang, vanilla or with Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.

The 25 in-game modules work on 1.8.9 (vanilla), 1.21.11 and 26.1 to 26.3. A few modules only exist on some of these versions, because the setting is already built into the game elsewhere (Toggle Sprint, FOV…): see the details on the modules page.

Does YuyuFrame work on Mac or Linux?

Not yet: YuyuFrame is available on Windows (10 and 11, 64-bit) only. macOS and Linux versions will be announced when they are ready, not before.

Is YuyuFrame really free?

Yes. The launcher, instances, mods and modpacks, and all 25 in-game modules are free, with no time limit and nothing held back in game. No ads, no cosmetics shop.

An optional paid plan adds cloud backup of your instances and a cosmetic badge. It funds the infrastructure and gives no in-game advantage. Details on the pricing page; you can only buy it from the launcher.

What data is collected?

Anonymous usage statistics, to know what works and what crashes: starting a game, installing a mod, a crash… They are tied to an identifier randomly generated on your PC, never to your Minecraft or YuyuFrame account, along with the launcher version and your operating system. They are hosted in the European Union (PostHog) and can be turned off in Settings → Privacy, without restarting.

The launcher also regularly asks our servers whether it is up to date, sending only its version and your operating system. Your Microsoft tokens stay on your PC. A crash report is only sent if you click to send it. If you create a YuyuFrame account: your username, your hashed password (never in plain text), and your devices’ names for the connected devices list.

Does YuyuFrame touch my .minecraft folder?

No. Each instance has its own folder, with its own mods, worlds and settings, in %APPDATA%\YuyuFrame. Your .minecraft and the official launcher stay as they are, and you can import your instances from other launchers.
